Tinchuley is an emerging Tourist Destination. It is developed as a model village with aid from the WWF. WWF has helped 17 Families residing in this area to develop the concept of Sustainable Village Tourism.

It provides stunning Himalayan views with the Majestic Kanchanjunga towering over the entire region. The places specializes in Village Tourism and one can take village walks, nature hikes and tea garden visits during their stay here. The untouched natural forest, is a birdwatchers paradise and sunrise views from specific points in this region are greatly talked about by all.

We stayed in Gurung Guest House in Teenchuley for 4 nights in April 2025. It is a fairly large property having lots of rooms. our room was at road level (topmost) with a balcony looking out to the valley behind & we saw the glittering lights of Kalimpong in night. Room & bathroom was very comfortable & clean. Room rent was 2240 & food 840/day per person. there was power cut during our stay - but they ran geyser by generator. clean dining hall - brass utensils & very tasty meals. Teenchuley is a small village - spread on both sides of a winding road - only tourists were us & others staying in guest house. long walks to Gumbadara view point (more tourists) & walks along village roads & relaxing in balcony. 1 day we visited lamahatta etc by car - half day trip. very laid back & comfortable stay. Rajinder looked after us - sang with guitar also one evening - & told stories of delivery problems of his pregnant cat - she had to be taken to a vet in kalimpong ! Mr Gurung is the owner - nice & helpful. shall visit again someday hopefully.

We booked 2 rooms just one night before our visit. I have been in Tinchuley but not stayed in Gurung guest house before, but I must say that I missed the opportunity that time. So this time, I booked two rooms for our two families. Description of rooms are difficult because they are so so beautiful. The two rooms were connected through a common verandah, and the view is breathtaking. Must description should be the food here. The food served here is the best food I had in any homestay/ guest house. Moreover, the way they served is commendable. All the staff here is highly trained, soft spoken and very very friendly. Walking through the Pine forest is always to be in memories!!!! The owner Mr. Gurung ji us a very kind, soft spoken and helpful person. There may be many homestays coming up in Tinchuley, but if anyone wants the best room, food and view, they must must must visit and stay in this guest house. I would highly recommend this place for everything one need during holidays!!!

Beautiful ambience with flowers, plants and a lot of peace...lovely rooms both double bed and four bedded...very tasty home-made food with care to details...a very warm host Mr. Gurung 4.5 ⭐....a little scope of improvement on the service side, starting hot water in morning for guests to get fresh. Overall a lovely stay.

I recently stayed at Gurung Homestay in Tinchuley and it was a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. The climate was cold and chilly, which added to the charm of the place.
